In eWear we care about the safety of your payments and because of that we have developed an extra secure system that will protect you and your funds in any kind of situation.

In order to make a payment, the ring has to be parallel (with your hand in a fist) and at a certain distance from the POS terminal, this is what we call the "Anatomical protection", as there is no possibility of an unintended payment or someone scanning your wearable without your consent.

When you connect your wearable to any of your cards, the tokenization concept comes into action, a special token is created which can only be used by paying with that wearable (for example it cannot be used for online purchases as a credit card would be used). Even if the information from the token is leaked (which is highly unlikely), it wouldn't be possible to use it in any other way rather than paying with the ring.

If your wearable is lost or stolen, block it using the Fidesmo app in just a few clicks (as you would do with a credit card). Remember, your credentials such as your name, credit card number or the CVV code do not appear anywhere on the ring, so they will stay safe even if the ring is lost. There is no need of blocking the card your wearable is linked to, you will only need to block the wearable itself.
